Wonderful Family Time!

The family has been enjoying all the neat things at the Mandalay Bay Inn! The place is beautiful and right on the beach. And the little outdoor balcony connected to the room was so nice!

Which way to the beach?

Big brother Timmy making sure G. won't get swept away.  :-)

Digging ditches. . . it's a boy's life! :-)

Aww!

Back at the hotel swimming pool!  The kids loved it. Even W. and G. loved it to my surprise.  They have NO fear!

Valerie and Victoria got out and ran on the boardwalk areas.  What a great place to run!

At about 2:00 PM us quad girls and mom left for the Marriott Inn in Marina Del Rey. . . about an 1 1/2 drive away from Mandalay. It was a BEAUTIFUL drive up in the hills and on the waterfront!

And we made it to the even FANCIER Hotel by around 4:30. As we pulled up to the front there were probably around 30 people standing out on the sidewalk to greet us. . . cause we're so famous. ;-) Ok, well actually they were just waiting for a taxi. . .  but we sure gave them something to laugh at. :-)  My mom got SO tickled as we pulled up in our 15 passenger van. We were clueless how to do things at such a fancy hotel!  Do we need a valet? Can I park the van myself? Oh, we have to PAY someone to take our stuff in?

Well we all piled out of the van as mom parked it on the roadway. We didn't want to have to pay someone to take our stuff in so we all start frantically grabbing ALL our stuff out since we were blocking traffic!  There was SO much stuff we were all so loaded down!  Mom starts laughing hysterically, which made me start laughing hysterically. Victoria was standing off a little to herself. . . pretending she wasn't with us. :-)

We FINALLY got all our stuff and got a hold of ourselves and paraded by all the people with big ole' grins on our faces.  Cue the Old MacDonald's Farm song. . the country bumpkins have arrived.

We finally made it to our hotel room on the second floor. . . and let out a sigh of relief.  Phew!  That was embarrassing!

Such a fun sister time and we've made lots of memories together already! :-)

And then the Gala began at 5:15 PM!  More pictures to come in the next post!

  2. That is so funny Caroline! You must have really felt like fishes out of the water. Victoria standing off by herself pretending she wasn't with you sounds very typical. LOL
